Tai Watanabe started his career at IBM Japan as an engineer, after having graduated from Chiba University (Faculty of Engineering) in 1984. He was involved in graphic workstation product development and AIX localization, and later engaged in launching the Multimedia business division and worked as a marketing manager. In 1995 he joined Apple Computer (Apple Japan at present) as a Technology Evangelist. Besides promoting its Multimedia technology QuickTime as well as Mac OS X, he made efforts for marketing digital publishing business that focused upon DTP and Web. He met Joi Ito in 2000, and started working with him at the Internet investment firm Neoteny as a marketing manager. Then in 2002 he founded MediaProbe Inc. as the CEO. |
